Today is Sunday, November 22, 2009 two days before my birthday. Joy 😉 Soon I’ll be 36 years old. Such a strange thing to realize how old you are, even though I feel so much younger. Perhaps it’s because I’m always surrounded by the youngins that come in for work. Anyway, I wanted to touch up on the development of Twinklight, which is coming along quite nicely. If you haven’t already seen my morphed vampire look on youtube, check it out. Daniel was nice enough to be my working model, who by the way is not in the film…: I wanted to get away from the actors needing to have fake teeth in their mouth. It always seems to have an impact on their speech when they talk. I dressed up as a vampire for Halloween, put the fake teeth in which were very hard to mold to my teeth, even though I only used caps for my k9’s. I’d rather the vampires teeth come alive when they have to. So, I’ve played around with some special effects and have come up with something I feel good about. Also, the contacts were very hard to get used to, so again I played with some special effects and came up with a way to morph the eyes as needed. My goal with Twinklight has always been to release something unlike anything I have before. And seen for that matter. I have high expectations for this film, not just from myself but the actors as well. The cast that was chosen for this film were chosen for many reasons. I wasn’t solely making my decision based on an actor’s look, more his ability to perform both sexually and in roles. There are only a few characters that have been cast whom I haven’t worked with that were chosen based on their look/physique. The rest have all worked with me, or have auditioned via webcam or in person. For those who were not chosen, I don’t want you to hold any harsh feelings on the matter. You have all been great to work with and hope to continue to work with you in the future. The decisions made were necessary in order to make sure the production runs smoothly and we are able to get what we need in the time we have scheduled. So don’t take it personally if you weren’t cast as it has no bearing on my interest to work with you on other projects. I could not put everybody I wanted to in this film, and I hope those who auditioned understand that my decisions were not personal. So what’s up next for the film? Well, we start filming the weekend after Thanksgiving, and run until December 15 with a full schedule of filming Twinklight and other material. We are all working very hard to get a release before the end of the year. Fingers crossed… We’ll be using a lot of filming techniques during the process which will include some blue/green screening for special effects, fight sequences, etc. I have spent the last few weeks finalizing the touches on allowing for these things to be in place and am eager and excited to get them going. I’m currently working on some other special effects that I’ll share with you soon once I’ve finalized them. Will keep everyone posted as things develop. Trailers, behind the scenes stuff, etc. will be shared as we move forward. Cheers, Afton
